Sadly, It’s Something She’ll Grow Out Of…

We watched “Charlotte’s Web” recently and I was again struck by the simple truths in this delightful movie.  Fern’s mother, concerned something was “wrong” with Fern, talks to the family doctor about Fern’s barnyard friends.  The mother is worried because Fern spends all of her time in the barn withRead the Rest…

Lessons from a Cell Phone

My son recently learned a hard lesson in obedience.

Even though he was told he was not allowed to text on his cell phone, (yes, we have an archaic plan WITHOUT free texting) he went ahead and did anyway- to the tune of $5oo!

Our son hadn’t believed us when we told him he couldn’t text. We told him text messaging was too expensive. He didn’t really think texting was that expensive. He saw his friends doing it and figured that mom and dad didn’t really know what they were talking about.

A Treasured Possession

Ashley wanted to “mark” her treasured possession….she wanted to evidence to the world that this Barbie was “HERS.”

Windshield Stalker

Ponder some of the lyrics with me.
“Give me Your eyes for just one second. Give me Your eyes so I can see…everything that I keep missing. Give me Your eyes for humanity. Give me Your arms for the broken-hearted…the ones that are far beyond my reach. Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten. Give me Your eyes so that I can see. I want a second glance. So give me a second chance…..to see the way You’ve seen the people all along.”
