Elaine Bateman
Elaine Bateman ’s journey thus far, has been a remarkable survey in God’s continual grace and sufficiency.
The youngest daughter of Cuban-Venezuelan parents, she migrated from her family’s homeland to America when her father retired from active service within a branch of the United States Central Intelligence Agency.
During those early years living in south America at a U.S. sponsored residential base – Elaine came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and her Savior.
Like most of us, Elaine could not have known that in just a few short years – her faith would be shaken to its foundations by a series of personal family tragedies. It would become her reliance on the promises of God’s Word that would keep her steady in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.
From the murder of her beloved father at the hands of an angry young man to the loss of a “Christian” marriage to remarriage and mothering a very large blended family of 18 – Elaine has seen the hand of God gently leading her home to His grace, mercy and truths.
40 years since her profession of faith in Jesus Christ – Elaine remains a vibrant example to many young women; living the example of Godly maturity as a wife, mother and mentor to younger women all over the southeastern United States.
Today, Elaine is a featured writer on “Internet Cafe Devotions“; a Christian online women’s news magazine and a sought out speaker at women’s conferences.

Leah Adams
Leah describes herself as the “prodigal son’s sister” after spending several years walking far from the Lord and battling an eating disorder in her late teens and twenties. Returning to the Lord after that season of sin offered Leah new insight into the true meaning of grace. In a works-based and failure-prone society, grace is a concept that many people have difficulty grasping. The passion of her heart is helping others understand the grace that is offered by Jesus to anyone who will accept it. Through The Point Ministries, Leah’s speaking and writing ministry, she seeks to point others to Jesus and his amazing grace through the study of God’s Word. In the fall of 2010, Leah’s first Bible study will be published by CrossBooks Publishing, a division of Lifeway. The message of the study is the importance of building a godly legacy for the generations that come behind. In From The Trash Pile to the Treasure Chest: Creating a Godly Legacy, Leah leads the learner to ponder their legacy in light of their faith, character and holiness.
An anointed author, Bible teacher and communicator, Leah lives in the mountains of north Georgia with her husband and dentist, Greg . She enjoys cooking, reading, camping and sharing a cup of coffee with a friend. Leah holds a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy and is a CLASS certified speaker. In addition to writing and speaking, Leah teaches a ladies’ Sunday school class and is a regular contributor at CBN.com, Internet Cafe Devotions, and JournEzine.

Melissa Mashburn
Melissa Mashburn has a passion to “Encourage women to live with an authentic faith by being transparent, renewed and transformed.” ~ Romans 12:2
Melissa lives in Sunny South Florida and shares her life and ministry with her best friend Matt, they just celebrated their 17th anniversary in May 2010, and their two handsome teenage sons, Nick and Bailey. Melissa is a southerner by birth who has been transplanted into South Florida for 23 years now.
Melissa Mashburn’s gift of speaking the truth in love while seeking the JOY on the journey makes her a funny, genuine, caring and trusted women’s speaker. Melissa takes simple little nuggets from the Word and uses them in creative & amusing ways that women are able to relate to and walk away with a truth that they can apply to their lives that very same day.
Melissa has traveled through some of the most intense and difficult days of her life; almost losing her oldest son in 2005 to a severe health issue and in 2007 when she walked through a desert season of ministry overload, but she has walked through to the other side with a smile on her face and a skip in her step.
Melissa’s been involved in ministry for over 10 years now and has served in just about every capacity in and around the church, but her biggest JOY comes from encouraging women, which is why she started Mel’s World and just recently partnered up with her dear friend Sue Cramer in the Praise & Coffee Nights Ministry as Co-Founder.
Melissa is passionate about showing women the grace and goodness of God in very real, authentic, and transparent ways so that they too can learn to take their everday, ordinary life and place it as an offering to Him (Romans 12:1 TM).
