We Are His Masterpiece

  The Word Ephesians 2:10 NLT For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.   The Prayer Heavenly Father, thank you so much for making us, creating us, and designing ups. You put us together, as individual masterpieces, and yet part of your great MASTERpiece. Thank you that continue to make us yours through the work of your Son, Jesus Christ, in our lives. Please, O God, help us yield to His work and not stand in the way. May we embrace it, rather than pushing back and away from the uncomfortable steps that are necessary for our transformation. Lord, please enable us to remember that your purposes in creating each one of us is for much more than our happiness You've created us for good things, that declare your glory and fullfill your purposes, planned by you long ago....

You call us into our potential. You call us into your best for our lives. Give us courageous faith, Oh Lord, to respond to this calling. In the face of difficulty and trials. As we experience the opposition of this world and the evil one, I pray, Oh Lord, that we would endure as You did on the cross, with firm faith. Brave courage. And strength found in the cross! The Word: Ephesians 3:20-21NIV Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.   The Prayer: Lord God, You are so much more than our human minds can even conceive. Only by faith, as we embrace the truths in Your Word, can we begin to wrap our minds around Your promises. You declare boldly that You, O God, can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us. Thank You, God! What a promise and gift You offer to those who've put their faith in your son, Jesus, as our Lord and Savior. The Word Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart     and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him,     and he will make your paths straight. The Prayer Heavenly Father, I am so grateful that we can put our trust in you. When the things of this world fall apart, when our loved ones leave us, when we face rejection and abandoment, when disaister turns our world upside down — in all of this we can trust you. Not just with our mind, but with our hearts. Our whole selves. We don’t need to lean on our own understanding. Actually, Lord, you tell us to NOT do that. We need to trust in you, not in what we think we know, but in knowing what you say is true in your word. In the trouble or trial or blessing alike, we are called to submit to You, O Lord. Forgive us, God, for we so often rebel against submission. Forgive us for not humbling ourselves into submission to you. God enable us to learn how to do that well for with it comes a promise we all want — for You to make our paths straight. Thank you, Lord, for this promise. The Word 1 Chronicles 28:20  HCSB …Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He won’t leave you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the Lord’s house is finished. The Prayer Thank you, O Lord, for your word encouraging me to be strong and courageous. Thank you, God, for the challenge to do the work. To not shrug back. To not be afraid. To not be discouraged. Thank you, Oh Father, that this urging to be brave is found by faith in you, believing in you as Lord God. Knowing that you, my God — you never leave me. Not now. Not ever. Always and forever with me. You won't ever leave me nor forsake me. You're word promises faithfulness, even when I am not faithful. Thank you for this gift of grace and mercy. {WFW} Live a Life of Love

The Word Ephesians 5:1-2 MSG Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.   The Prayer Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and your example of how to love others. We are your children, and like earthly children ought to watch their parents for proper behavior, we should watch you. But God, forgive us for those times that we've not had our eyes on you and we've been looking elsewhere for an example. Forgive us for not setting the proper example for how to live a life of love for our children, for this next generation. Your word says that mostly what you do is love us. How God, are we then loving others? Please teach us. Show us. Impart on us your ways for loving others. Open our eyes to see how Christ loved us. Because His love was not cautious but extravagant. Because He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Help us, Oh God, to love like that. {WFW} Everything

The Word 2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.   Pray Heavenly Father, thank you that you tell us in your Word that you have given us divine power. This divine power is everything to us. Everything we need. Everything we could ever hope for or long for or ever want. You are everything and you've given yourself fully to us. Your everything — your power — is all that we need for our life, and to live the godly life you desire for us. And this gift of your everything power comes by knowing you and your son, Jesus Christ. It is awarded to us, but NOT because of our effort. It is bestowed on us, but NOT because we deserve it.  It is a gift from you, because you want us to know you.  It is a gift because of your glory and goodness. Thank you God! {WFW} Yielding the Heart

Welcome to a brand new year of Word-filled Wednesdays, where we are going to bring you a Scripture graphic along with an opportunity to pray out the word together. There is nothing more powerful than a God's people moving together in prayer.  So as a group of women (and men) on our knees, we're going to take the Word, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, and learn how to intercede for those needs we face every day with the heart of God as our guide.
