The Word

1 Chronicles 28:20  HCSB

…Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He won’t leave you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the Lord’s house is finished.

The Prayer

Thank you, O Lord, for your word encouraging me to be strong and courageous. Thank you, God, for the challenge to do the work. To not shrug back. To not be afraid. To not be discouraged. Thank you, Oh Father, that this urging to be brave is found by faith in you, believing in you as Lord God. Knowing that you, my God — you never leave me. Not now. Not ever. Always and forever with me. You won't ever leave me nor forsake me. You're word promises faithfulness, even when I am not faithful. Thank you for this gift of grace and mercy. Thank you that you, working in me and through me, is what will enable me to work until my service unto you is fully complete. It is not me mustering up bravery and courage. It is you working in me and through me. Until it is finished. Fully finished. For your glory. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
