Ever find yourself wondering what your NEXT move should be? The plans YOU’VE had haven’t panned out like you thought they might. The job that was YOURS, wasn’t. The man of your dreams is as flawed as the rest of them. The people you’ve trusted have let you down. You finally come to the realization that you can’t make decisions for your adult children or your parents for that matter. Your journal is filled with these private reflections.
Disappointments.
Detours.
Life.
We have an answer waiting for us in Luke. It worked for Mary, when her life looked a teensy bit complicated. She didn’t waver. She didn’t collapse under the pressure. She plainly spoke the words,
“Let it be to me according to your Word.”
Such powerful words, as relevant for you and I, 2,000 years removed. What if we all began a journal with these words and really committed to living them. I mean REALLY committed to living them. I think something amazing would ensue.
WFW is not about books, authors, artists.. it’s about God and HIS WORD ONLY. WFW is about celebrating the gift of creativity through God’s Word.

Blessings Lori… Let it BE!!! Profound wisdom in your words and now on the page of my journal!
Next move? It’s in His hands!
Job? that is His too!
People trusted? that’s up to Him… I give up!
Adult children? forget it…they’re His too!
Man of my dreams, well, I’m still praying and praying and praying! Can we insert some words here…Let him be changed according to Your Word!
Anyways, wonderful WORD for my Tuesday post on God’s WORD! Hmmmmmmmmmm…
I’m really committed to living them for His glory, not mine, but still not as obedient as Mary but learning how to be a willing vessel. Thanks for such a vivid reminder of LIVING GOD’S WORD & surrender to His will. Not my will but Thine… Lord! Let it be according to Your Word! I’m so thankful that Your promises are true, and You are so faithful. Help me to BE like You!
Extreme… creativity, Lori! You always grab my attention and challenge my walk! Thank you! For the sweet fragrance you are and the best iron sharpener!
Love & peace,
Peggy

A fabulous verse! Our faith is not “blind” faith, but faith in *His Word.* I’m going to hold this verse close. Blessings on your day, Lori!

Good word today, Lori! I live so much of my life with the mentality, “Let it be to me according to MY word.” I need these reminders to point me to that daily and to point me to the remedy. Thank you.

Oh Lori, This is wonderful! So encouraging and inspirational! I have always admired Mary’s faith and reaction to all that happened, particularly when I thought about the fact that she was probably only in her teens AND the way the culture was at that time. She sets such a wonderful example of surrender! Thank you for a lovely way to start the day.

Beautiful Lori! Very encouraging and something for us to all strive for.

This is not only encouraging but also challenging for us, for me, to think hard about how I live my life. Am I focusing on His Word or my will? I have read these words of Mary’s many times, but you put them in a perspective that will make journaling new and fresh!

Amen! What a great challenge! It’s so difficult to accept His will. But we are so much happier when we do. Thanks for that great reminder today! Happy WFW!

Blessings to you Lori!! Amen – indeed what if we lead our lives as this Word shares, as Mary did! Amazing things indeed would occur! I pray we’re able to make this our hearts desire, as we know it’s His desire for us!
Thanks for sharing WFW with us!
Hugs & Prayers, HL

This has forever been one of my life verses…I can’t fathom being a very young adult, as Mary was, and listening to an angel telling me that I am pregnant as a virgin and will give birth to the king of all kings. Could there be anything more outlandish than this? And yet it wasn’t – it was very real. I’ve learned to never, ever underestimate what God can do and so, I find myself often holding up my hands and saying “May it be so.”
Thank you for, as always, a beautiful image, Lori!

Such a great reminder, yes I have seen a few of those real life situations! Thanks for the word

Love that, especially it being place on the Journal in that way.

Trust, this implies we must truly trust Him. To blindly say, “let it be to me according to Your word.” In today’s society, it’s counter cultural to trust ANYONE. So to trust a God that we can’t see – that’s MEGA trust. “But He who promised is faithful,” a great promise to counter the distrust within my heart.
Blessings my friend.
