Internet Cafe Devotions introduces Blessed Aroma ~ 2009!

As a Christian Women Devotional site, we passionately want to encourage and inspire women all over the world. We know that an ounce of encouragement goes a long way and that is why we are introducing Blessed Aroma ~ 2009. It’s a way to showcase some of your favorite blogs who have encouraged you with their written words and examples of faith in 2008. This list consists of some of the most encouraging and inspiring blogs, nominated by YOU! Are you ready to meet some new and exciting ladies?

This was not a contest. There were no prizes. We firmly believe that there is no competition in ministry and we are to support and encourage each other as the body of Christ.

Our vision for this was to simply add a page to the Cafe with a fresh list of wonderful blogs that others can enjoy. We obtained this list through nominations by you, the readers, and not simply based on our own opinion. The top ten of those who received the most nominations in a category are included here. In random order, of course.

Though many of the women on our team of writers received many nominations in different categories, in the end we decided to only showcase blogs that aren’t linked from the Cafe on a regular basis. Be sure to go and check out their blogs too though!

If a blog received several nominations in more than one category then we put that blog in the category where they received the most nominations. this was done so that we have 100 unique blogs to share with you.

Lori's daily mantra includes praying, "I will take it Lord, ALL you have to give," and a commitment to live out Colossians 3:17 daily. It's her prayer that the energy that fills her spirit be with her till her dying breath! She lives in the Deep South with her husband of 21 years and her 3 children, where she seeks daily to be creative and use the gifts the Lord has given her. With the heart of an artist and a spirit to live intentionally missional, Lori strives daily to see Him in all that surrounds her. Encouraging women on their daily walk with the Lord is her passion!     I just don’t even know what to say. Affirmation doesn’t come much more humbling or honoring than being included among so many amazing women chasing after God and sharing the journey in words and in love. I’m just so grateful that God is able to work with this broken and busted vessel and I’m so happy He’s seen fit to use bits of my journey to shine His light on yours. The Lord knows I learn and relearn every word I share and gifts like this keep me from running for the hills every time I say something a little too real for comfort!

    Thank you to everyone who nominated a favorite read…you’re reinforcing the call of our Father and I can’t say how much that means to all 100 of us!

    Oh my goodness! My Mom has a saying, “Each new day holds some lovely secret waiting to unfold.” The Lord certainly opened up a lovely surprise for me today….and the timing is incredible! I have been seeking the Lord as to whether to continue blogging. Is my writing blessing others and honouring Him? Oh Lord, thank You for the completely unexpected delight. My heart has been infused with a new passion to keep pursing and pondering His heart.

    I just hung up the phone with Dineen and we are completely humbled to serve the Lord along side the women of this amazing community of believers. Our lives have been forever changed by the friendships and love we have discovered among you. To think you would honor us in this way, fills our hearts with praise for our Jesus and love for you.

    Every day we thank the Lord for each of you that share your precious time with us. So many of you inspire us and compel us to keep sharing the hope we have in Christ Jesus. To God be all praise for He has done such amazing things the the lives of His believers.

    I had no clue that someone or some [friends] had nominated me for this. I had been busy and I was happy! For the Lord. I pray that I continue to reflect His light through my blogging. Glory be to God Who deserves it! Thank you so much and I pray that we, bloggers, will continue to be guided by our Lord to encourage, to share His hope, to share the Good News, to reach out to those who are still in captivity and be freed by Christ’s freedom.     What a sweet encouragement to be included with the ICD list of women who are lovers of God and use their words to share Him. It’s been a busy week here in our missions conference; my body is weary, but my heart is full. This news was a sweet boost for today!
